Christopher Wayne Keeton of Lawrence, Kansas sadly passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the home he shared with girlfriend, Lauren Aman. Chris was born May 30, 1984, in Lawrence, Kansas, born to Paul and Constance Ray. He went on later to be adopted by his uncle, William Keeton. Christopher graduated from Lawrence High School of Lawrence, Kansas with the Class of 2003. He had three beautiful daughters: Audrianna Marie Keeton (15), Josie Mae Keeton (10), and Daphne Elizabeth Keeton (7), all of Lawrence, Kansas. He lived for his daughters who were his proudest accomplishments in life. His favorite pastimes included spending time with his daughters and his partner Lauren, fishing any chance he could (especially for “monster” catfish), going to demolition derbies (and working on derby cars when given the opportunity to do so), and he would often be found making silly rhymes out of anything in life just to make someone else smile and laugh. Chris had several career paths throughout his lifetime, but what he enjoyed most was any position he had where he was able to work outdoors. He worked as a Solid Waste Loader for the City of Lawrence for several years as well as a Landscape Laborer for various local landscaping companies. Mr. Keeton was preceded in death by his biological father; Paul Ray, biological brother; Thomas Corbin Surles, and adoptive sister; Jamie Keeton. Surviving family includes his three daughters: Audrianna, Josie, and Daphne of Lawrence Kansas. His Biological mother; Constance “Connie” Surles of Yucca Valley, CA, biological sisters; Cassandra Surles of Strasburg, CO, and Mary Ray of Yucca Valley, CA, grandmother, Retha Beebe of Ottawa, KS. His adoptive father, William “Bill” Keeton of Ottawa, KS, and adoptive siblings Zena Keeton, Brittani Keeton, Brandi Keeton, and William Keeton Jr. Christopher also had several cousins; Nathan Beebe, Ashley Beebe, and Tyler Biggers from Aunt Angel McFadden. As well as Brian Keeton Jr, Holly Coffey, Edwin Vonbargen, Cameron Mooney, Dalton Keeton, and Montana Keeton from his Uncle Brian Keeton. Feel free to leave your condolences or even share a story for his daughters and loved ones to remember him by. Thank you.
